Pakistan, Afghan military officials agree to work on roadmap for reconciliation in Afghanistan – Xinhuanet

ISLAMABAD, May 28 (Xinhua) — Senior Pakistani and Afghan military and security officials have agreed to work on a roadmap for reconciliation in Afghanistan, according to local reports on Monday.

Afghanistan’s National Security Adviser Haneef Atmar led a high level delegation in talks with Pakistan army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi late Sunday and both sides also vowed to “undertake measures that would assist both sides in reduction of violence at the hands of terrorists,” the reports quoted a statement by the Pakistani army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations.
